Lovingly restored to its original status, this 135-year-old Homestead witnessed the slow and gradual development of the area known today as Riverstone. From its humble beginnings cultivating crops of fruit trees (oranges, lemons & mandarins), vegetables and feed for horses & cows as well as Dairy cattle, providing milk, butter and cream for the family and neighbouring community to establishing a Poultry farm until 1970 producing an amazing 1,000 eggs per day!

In the spirit of tradition & preservation, you will notice a recently planted orchard consisting of oranges, grapefruit and lemons as well as olive, macadamia and pecan trees in a paddock neighbouring the Homestead.

On visiting the Café, take some time to explore some of the restored original structures utilised by the owners including the Dairy & Egg sorting sheds. Historical facts & photos are highlighted around the property for you to read, appreciate and reflect on the significant contribution made to the development and prosperity of this area and region throughout this period in time.

It all started in the early 80’s with an innovative café concept in McMahon’s Point. A concept ahead of it’s time that flourished for many years offering an alternative with traditional breakfast menu items as well as French & Spanish inspired menu items. In the early 90’s, the Barcelona Olympics inspired the birth of a Northern Spanish Cuisine restaurant in the CBD entertainment quarter precedent, that introduced the true concept of Spanish Tapas and was awarded by Good Living “Best Spanish Restaurant in NSW” for 5 consecutive years. In need of a lifestyle change, we established a catering business specialising in Spanish & Thai food that has for the past 15years further enhanced our appreciation how wonderful and culturally diverse this wonderful country is in all the major capital cities and rural areas in NSW.
